NSS

Introduction

The main objective of the NSS club is to “Give back to the Society”. It helps in developing the personality and character of the students through community service. NSS club at ISME encourages students to take part in all kinds of activities which involve helping people, standing up for a good cause, conducting awareness programs regarding health, hygiene, basic human rights etc. They also help the community in coming up with effective and efficient solutions.

The UG NSS Club of the International School of Management Excellence (ISME) organized the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan on 19/09/2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:15 PM at the Government School and Temple, Chembanahalli. The initiative aimed to promote environmental awareness by encouraging people to come together and clean public spaces.

The ISME NSS Club organized a Health Awareness Campaign on 25th April 2025 at Chikkadunnasandra, Sarjapur, starting from 3:05 PM onwards. The initiative aimed to spread awareness about health, hygiene, and overall well-being within the community. Through interactive activities and outreach efforts, the campaign encouraged healthier lifestyles and promoted social responsibility among participants and local residents. Organized by ISME, the event reflected the institution’s commitment to community service and public health awareness.

The International School of Management Excellence (ISME) celebrated the 70th Karnataka Rajyotsava with great enthusiasm and pride, honoring the rich heritage, culture, and traditions of Karnataka. The event featured distinguished chief guests Dr. Ramesh H. Kittur, Assistant Professor at UCPE, Bangalore University and NSS Coordinator, along with Prof. Vijay Kumar N, Head of the Kannada Department at ISBR Degree College, Electronic City. Held on 7th November 2025 at 4:30 PM at Navatara, the celebration provided an engaging and vibrant cultural experience for students, faculty, and families. Through this event, ISME fostered unity, cultural appreciation, and a deeper connection to the values and legacy of Karnataka.

The NSS Annual Camp 2026 was successfully organized with great enthusiasm and active participation from the volunteers. Over seven days, the camp focused on service, teamwork, leadership, and community engagement through various meaningful activities. Volunteers participated in awareness programmes on health, sanitation, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, anti-plastic drives, waste segregation campaigns, cultural activities, and community visits. The camp was honored by the presence of distinguished guests and faculty members including Mr. Nagaraj, Panchayat Member, Mr. Ravikumar, Secretary, Vice Principal B. V. Shashirekha, Dr. Prakash, Dr. Nithin Garg, Dr. Rony G Kurien, Mr. Narayan Reddy, Trust Member, and Mr. Prabakar Reddy, Member, who motivated and encouraged the volunteers throughout the camp. The event concluded successfully with a closing ceremony and a visit to Nada Gokula Ashram, leaving the volunteers with valuable learning experiences, unforgettable memories, and a stronger sense of social responsibility and service.

The ISME NSS Club proudly organized a Tree Plantation Drive on 11th April 2025 at Kada Agrahara Village near Sompura Gate, Sarjapur, as part of its ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability and community service. Bringing together students, faculty members, and local residents, the initiative aimed to promote greener surroundings and raise awareness about the importance of preserving nature. Through active participation in planting and nurturing native saplings, volunteers contributed towards creating a healthier and more sustainable environment. The drive not only enhanced the green cover of the village but also reinforced the values of social responsibility, teamwork, and collective action among the youth.
