Rang Barse @ ISME

The ISME Holi
The festival of colors as usual was played in a cheerful and enthusiastic way, even when we were occupied by our mid-terms.
All of us were enlightened by the story of, “the mythological reasons of playing holi”. This speech not only gave us a taste of our culture but also lifted our spirits to jump in the play area to throw colours on each other and splash water.
The faculty members were very supportive in the celebration as some students were shying away and some made faces looking at the mess others had created with colours, gulal, water etc. to lift the holi mood, rang barse was played in the background and thandai was sipped in by all present replicating the consumption of bhang. Thanks to the nautanki which we all did in the dancing and applying colours.
The function ended with feeding jalebi to each other backed by hugs and loud whispers of, “buraa naa manoo holi he” (again loads of colours came in the picture).
