PhD DOCTORAL PROGRAM

ISME Research Centre is a recognized centre of research of University of Mysore (UoM), offering Ph.D program in Management. The program has been specially designed to cater to the scholarly needs of working executives / managers / faculty members / researchers / entrepreneurs.

Academic partnerships with leading international educational establishments like University of North Carolina, USA, Pembroke, USA, Thunderbird School of Global Management, USA, Singapore Institute of Management (SIM), ESC Clermont Business School (France), THWS (Germany) and Management Development Institute of Singapore (MDIS), creating the international value for scholars during the pursuit of the PhD.

ROBUST COURSE STRUCTURE

Candidates undergo course work of 72 hours inclusive of course-end assessment. Course work classes conducted every week end. The process consists of an understanding of Research Methodology, Review of Literature and Seminars, Submission of Annual Progress Reports etc. Each scholar is expected to regularly present the progress of their research work in Doctoral Committee (DC) meets. The DC includes guide and two subject matter experts. The scholars greatly benefit from these DC meets as they get timely and relevant feedback which ensures that good quality research work.

GET A PhD WHILE WORKING

Offers the flexibility of week end classes with 3 times a year residential coursework. This enables candidates from outside Bangalore also to enrol.

Department of Research at ISME regularly conducts guest lectures, workshops and faculty development programs for the benefit of its scholars. The topics on which such workshops were conducted in the past include Paper Writing Workshops, Thesis Writing, Structural Equation Modelling, Qualitative Research using Nvivo and many others.

All faculty at ISME bring with them an international exposure, either by having studied abroad in leading universities or having worked in multinational corporations. Qualified Research Mentors with research degrees from IIT, IIM and other prestigious institutions.

FOCUS ON PUBLICATIONS

Focuses on 3 research papers by each candidate in ABDC and Scopus indexed journals over the course of the programme. The library at ISME is equipped with tools like SPSS, Grammarly and database like EBSCO.

WI-FI ENABLED ON-CAMPUS HOSTEL

The state of the art Wi-Fi enabled on-campus, library and hostel can be availed during their coursework period. This guarantees access to all learning resources and interactions with fellow candidate.
