ISME Celebrates Convocation and Graduation Day 2026

The International School of Management Excellence (ISME), Bengaluru, celebrated Convocation and Graduation Day 2026 on September 26, 2026, marking a significant milestone in the academic journey of its graduating students. The Convocation recognised graduates and scholars from the Ph.D., PGDM and IAT programmes and was graced by Ms. Vinutha Rao M S, Senior Vice President, HCL Technologies, as the Chief Guest, and Prof. Dr. Anand K Joshi, Senior Consulting Advisor, Indian Institute of Gems & Jewellery, Mumbai, Policy Advisor, ISDC London, and Board Member, ISME, as the Guest of Honour. The Graduation Day honoured students from the BBA, B.Com, BCA and MCA programmes and was graced by Mr. Rajat Gupta, Executive Director and Audit Practice Leader, Grant Thornton INDUS, as the Chief Guest, and Mr. Shivakumar Venkateswaran, Human Resources Advisor, USDC Global and former CHRO, IIM Bangalore, as the Guest of Honour.

ISME congratulates Dr. Shampa Nandi on completing a decade of dedicated service. Since joining the institution in May 2016, she has contributed significantly to academic initiatives, institutional accreditation, student development, research, and leadership. Diploma in Professor of Practice – April 2026 Batch


ISME congratulates the April 2026 batch of the Diploma in Professor of Practice on successfully completing the programme and taking an important step towards becoming Professors of Practice. The programme brought together experienced industry professionals, providing an opportunity to connect industry expertise with academic learning and enrich the classroom with real-world perspectives. Their participation, professional experiences and insights contributed to a meaningful learning journey, and ISME wishes the graduating participants continued success as they take on the role of mentoring, guiding and inspiring the next generation of professionals.

Dr. Shashikala Patil Presents Research at CONVERGENCE 2026

Dr. Shashikala Patil, along with her student Mr. Karthik Reddy, presented their research paper, “Beyond Perception: A Comparative Statistical Analysis of Digital Engagement and Sustainability-Driven Innovation on Brand Loyalty,” at the 4th International Conference – CONVERGENCE 2026 on 24 September 2026, organised by IA School of Management Studies. The conference, themed “Global Perspectives on Digital Economies, Tax Reforms and Inclusive Development,” brought together academicians, researchers and industry professionals to exchange perspectives on emerging trends in the global business and economic landscape. The research explored the intersection of digital engagement, sustainability-driven innovation and brand loyalty, contributing to discussions on building meaningful and sustainable consumer relationships.

ISME Faculty Attend National Leadership Summit 2026


Dr. Rony G. Kurien, Dr.Shampa Nandi, Dr. Shashikala Patil and Ms.Neethushree represented ISME at the National Leadership Summit (NLS) 2026, organised by Indus Business Academy, Bengaluru, and powered by the Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS). The summit focused on “Strategies for Industry–Academia Collaborations, Digital Learning, Sustainability & Innovation with the Viksit Bharat@2047 Agenda.” The event provided an enriching platform for academic leaders, industry experts, professional bodies and startups to exchange insights on strengthening industry–academia partnerships and advancing digital learning, sustainability and innovation in education.

FPM Scholar Successfully Defends Viva Voce

ISME congratulates Mr. Sridhar Jonnala, FPM 2022 Batch Scholar, on successfully defending his Viva Voce on 12 September 2026. His research, titled “The Ethical Compass of Generative AI,” marks a significant academic milestone in his research journey. Strengthening Industry–Academia Partnerships with BCIC

ISME, Bengaluru, engaged in a strategic meeting with the Bangalore Chamber of Industry and Commerce (BCIC) on 25 August 2026 to explore opportunities for stronger Industry–Academia collaboration. Discussions focused on corporate training, joint research, consultancy and industry projects, including knowledge-driven solutions for MSMEs. The meeting brought together representatives from ISME and BCIC to explore avenues for creating future-ready talent, driving innovation and generating meaningful value for industry, academia and the wider business ecosystem.

Faculty Development Programme on Entrepreneurship and AI

As part of its ongoing engagement with TiE, ISME hosted a Faculty Development Programme titled “An Entrepreneurship Primer – Understanding Business Building and Entrepreneurship in the Age of AI.” The session, facilitated by Mr. Santhosh SS, serial entrepreneur, investor and mentor, provided practical insights into opportunity identification, business model development, Lean Canvas thinking and the role of AI in entrepreneurship. Through interactive activities and discussions, faculty members explored creative problem-solving, value proposition development and entrepreneurial thinking, reinforcing the importance of adaptability, innovation and experimentation in today’s rapidly evolving business landscape.

Hindi Diwas Celebrated at ISME

ISME celebrated Hindi Diwas on 28 September 2026 with enthusiasm and a spirit of linguistic appreciation. The programme featured an insightful session by Dr. Ranjit Kumar, Senior Hindi Translator, DRDO, on “Translation, Official Language Hindi and AI in Employment Opportunities,” highlighting emerging opportunities in Hindi, translation and Artificial Intelligence. Students actively participated in debate and Antakshari competitions, showcasing their communication skills, creativity and confidence. The celebrations provided students with an engaging platform to explore the relevance of Hindi in the contemporary technological landscape while developing their critical thinking, creativity, dialogue and presentation skills.

Dr. S. Dhanabagiyam Delivers Keynote at HIBCON 2026

Dr. S. Dhanabagiyam served as the Resource Person and Inaugural Keynote Speaker at HIBCON 2026, organised by the Department of Business Administration, Bishop Heber College (Autonomous), on 14 September 2026. She addressed the gathering on “AI Automation for Business Transformation,” highlighting the role of AI and intelligent automation in transforming business processes, decision-making and organisational growth. The conference brought together academicians, researchers, scholars and students from across India, along with international participation from Malaysia and Denmark

Dr. Sushyni Kothuri Delivers Guest Lecture at NOESIS II

Dr. Sushyni Kothuri delivered a guest lecture titled “NOESIS II: Stories, Screens, and Society” at St. Francis de Sales College, Bengaluru. The session explored how Indian cinema engages with themes of gender, class and culture, drawing insights from films such as Thappad, The Great Indian Kitchen, Kumbalangi Nights, Geeli Pucchi, Court, Vedam, Axone and Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. Through critical discussions and memorable cinematic moments, the session encouraged students to look beyond entertainment and examine how films represent social realities, power, privilege and human relationships

Dr. Shashikala Patil Conducts Webinar for CAT Aspirants

Dr. Shashikala Patil conducted a webinar for CAT aspirants, organised by CATKing Edutech, on “Memes and Moment Marketing: The New Language of Brand-Customer Engagement.” The session explored how brands leverage memes, real-time events and internet culture to enhance brand recall, storytelling and customer engagement, with examples from Zomato, Amul, Swiggy and Netflix India. The interactive session provided aspiring management students with valuable insights into the evolving dynamics of digital marketing and consumer behaviour.

ISME Students Shine at Intercollegiate Competition

­

SME students showcased their creativity, confidence and competitive spirit at an intercollegiate event hosted by Jyoti Nivas Women’s College, Bengaluru. Sujatha Kotha secured 1st place in Creative Writing among 18 teams, while Rajveer Jaiswal won 3rd place in Reel Making among 16 teams and Shreeya Suman Behera secured 3rd place in Face Painting among 11 teams. Their achievements reflect ISME’s commitment to encouraging students to explore their talents, embrace challenges and excel beyond the classroom.

ISME Student Secures 3rd Place at World Happiness Summit 2026

ISME congratulates Bianca Lariza Freeman on securing 3rd Place in the JAM (Just A Minute) event at the WOHASU World Happiness Summit 2026. Her confidence, clarity and effective expression stood out during the competition, bringing recognition to ISME. We congratulate Bianca on this achievement and wish her continued success in the journey ahead.

ISME NSS Organises Awareness Session on HIV, Reproductive Health and Hygiene

The ISME NSS Team organised an awareness session on HIV, Reproductive Health and Personal Hygiene at the Navatara Auditorium, ISME College, Bengaluru. The session, led by Dr. Jayaraj P., Senior Resident, and Dr. Sanghita Chakraborty, Post Graduate, from The Oxford Medical College Hospital and Research Centre, sensitised students on HIV prevention and testing, reproductive health, personal hygiene and responsible choices. Free and voluntary HIV blood testing was also facilitated for students as part of the initiative, promoting awareness and informed health practices.

Celebrating the Spirit of Sportsmanship at ISME

ISME celebrated National Sports Day 2026 with enthusiasm and team spirit as students came together to participate in sporting activities, including cricket for girls and volleyball for boys. The event highlighted the values of discipline, teamwork, resilience and perseverance, while providing students an opportunity to compete with passion and integrity. The celebrations reinforced ISME’s belief that sports go beyond competition, helping students build character, confidence and lasting memories.

ISME Celebrates the Spirit of Freedom

ISME Bengaluru celebrated the 80th Independence Day with patriotic fervour and youthful enthusiasm. The celebrations commenced with the Flag Hoisting Ceremony, followed by vibrant student performances showcasing the talent and diversity of the ISME community. Celebrated under the theme “Yuva Shakti – Honouring Freedom, Inspiring the Future,” the event highlighted the values of unity, responsibility and hope for the future.
