ISME & IIT-K jointly organised "ENTREPRENERUSHIP AWARENESS DRIVE"


International School of Management Excellence (ISME), Bengaluru has organised an “Entrepreneurship Awareness Drive” on the 24th October, 2015, an event conceptualised and coordinated with IIT-Kharagpur’s Entrepreneurship Cell. The event witnessed participation of close to 200 delegates from corporate executives, academic scholars, entrepreneurs and students from across Bangalore. 
The event was inaugurated by Nitin Garg, Director, ISME, Ashok Soota, Founder, Happiest Minds and other delegates. Dr. Swaroop Reddy welcomed the guests. Ashok Soota, in his inaugural session, took the participants through a flow of thoughts to ponder on the topic “entrepreneurship made easy”. The speaker highlighted five areas of entrepreneurial efforts that will make the venture successful – Idea Generation, Strategy, Organisation Building, Talent Management and Risk Facing.
The inaugural session was followed by a panel discussion between Mr. Subendhu Panigrahi of VentureSity & Innovation Angels and Tripal Preel Singh of Tacos Design. Both addresses various issues faced by budding entrepreneurs like the timing of investments, experimenting risks and ideas brainstorming. Mr. Singh referred to satwik way of running a business and gave ideas of sectors one could look at in the current conditions.
Prof. Nitin Garg, Director, ISME handled an interactive session to summarise the ways to “think like an entrepreneur”. He showed a series of images and enumerated qualities like need-based innovation over the opportunity-based innovation, risk-taking, self-belief, process of opportunity to idea to innovation and finally the value-based organising skills.
The concluding session by Mr. Vir Kashyap, Co-Founder and COO, Babajobs.com spoke in length on the experience of babajobs venture, innovating the model, monetising the model, being careful with whom to partner with and staying in the game through the thick and thin of entrepreneurial journey.
