The event talked about leadership – transformation from ordinary to extraordinary. It talked about the utmost need and importance of mentoring, coaching and sponsoring in one’s life to guide, mould and nurture the youth and shape their future and also to click a big picture in the mentee’s mind. There was also a panel discussion involving Arundhati Gupta, Phanindra Sama and Dr Monika Ghosh on their real life experiences and the relevance of mentoring in shaping the career of youth.

All the students have been assigned a mentor  whereby there will be one to one mentoring interactions between the mentee and the assigned mentor for three months. Global Shapers seeks to provide opportunities like internship, placement and scholarship to some of the selected students whose innovative ideas can bring about good changes and make a difference to this world.

The focus of the event was to encourage youth to take risk in life, to discover their passion and follow it, to innovate, to think out of the box and to bring out the entrepreneurial spirit in them. A lot of emphasis was placed on ‘brand yourself’, ‘sell yourself.

The take away of this event was –
Rise above the rest,
Discover yourself,
Challenge convention,
Be the best.

It was a great opportunity to interact with the stalwarts and the best young minds in India.
