FDP Objectives

The objectives of a Faculty Development Program are multifaceted, aiming to support faculty members in their roles as educators, researchers, and academic leaders while advancing the mission and goals of their institutions :

1. Leveraging AI tools for research :  AI tools streamline data analysis, accelerating research progress and enabling faculty-researchers to uncover insights more efficiently.
2. Ethics in Research : Ethical research practices uphold the integrity of findings, bolstering credibility and fostering trust among peers and stakeholders.
3. Literature Review : Conducting a thorough literature review provides researchers with a comprehensive understanding  of existing knowledge, informing the direction and significance of their own research endeavors..
4. Problem identification and formulation : Clear problem identification and formulation streamline research direction, optimizing resource allocation and increasing the likelihood of meaningful discoveries.
5. Questionnaire Design and Development ::Thoughtful questionnaire design and development facilitate precise data collection, yielding valuable insights and enhancing the validity of research findings.
6. Hypothesis Development and Testing : Refining hypotheses and conducting rigorous testing refine research focus, enabling robust analysis and validation of theoretical propositions.
7. Regression Analysis : elucidates relationships between variables, offering researchers valuable insights into patterns and trends within their data.
8. Art of Writing Research Paper : Mastering the art of writing research papers enhances researchers’ ability to effectively communicate their findings, contributing to broader dissemination and impact within the academic community.

Dr. Shampa Nandi, an academician since 2008, brings over three years of teaching experience from the USA to her current role as head of the PGDM department at ISME. With strong analytical, intellectual, and organizational skills, she is a recognized PhD guide under Mysore University and has received multiple awards for her research, including best paper and best case awards. Dr. Nandi has published 25 papers in esteemed peer-reviewed journals, focusing on Consumer Behaviour and Marketing research, including Scopus-indexed and ABDC journals.

Dr. Nitin brings extensive experience in technology and management consulting, having served as a senior member at Deloitte Consulting, USA. He specializes in strategic analysis, process design, and change management, holding certifications in SAP Enterprise and Ariba consultancy. As lead faculty for Management Game at ISME, he collaborates with Carnegie Mellon University and teaches Business Strategy Game in partnership with the University of Alabama. Dr. Nitin is the founder Director of ISME and Co-founder of various NVT Group companies.

Nisha, a seasoned academician and researcher with a PhD in Finance from IIT Delhi, teaches courses in Corporate Finance and Business Valuation at management level. Specializing in FinTechs and Digital Lending, she has received research grants, presented as keynote speaker at international conferences, and won best paper awards at esteemed venues like Woxsen University, AGBA World Conference, and BITS Pilani. Her work has been published in reputable journals like International Review of Economics and Finance and Thunderbird International Business Review, and she’s recognized with the Outstanding Reviewer Award for Journal of Advances in Management Research.

Gopa Thampi, a seasoned governance advisor with extensive international experience, currently serves as Senior Governance Advisor to The Asia Foundation and is a Visiting Fellow at BRAC University. He co-chairs the World Bank’s Global Partnership for Social Accountability and has held leadership positions at Transparency International and the Public Affairs Centre. His research interests span Data for Development initiatives, political ecologies, and the impact of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Gopa holds a Doctorate in Entrepreneurial Studies and has published widely, including contributions to The Economist magazine and UN Habitat reports.
