“AN EVENING @ ISME”, Navi Mumbai


On 31st March ’12 the International School of Management Excellence (ISME) celebrated an “An Evening @ ISME”at its Navi Mumbai Campus. The awards function for the pass-out batch of 2011 of ISME was the salient feature of the evening. The packed half day program started with Saraswati Vandana & Welcome Address followed by lighting of the lamp by Prof Vivek Garg Director ISME Navi Mumbai and dignitaries from the corporate. The present batch of ISME students performed Ganesh Vandana as a prelude to the main event.
Panel discussions constituted the initial phase of the program. The first panel discussion was on “Expectations of the Corporate from Management Graduates”.
The corporate dignitaries who participated in the discussion were Mr RSP Singh,Head Central Advisory ,L&T Mutual Fund, Mr Vijay Gargava of Berger Group, Ms Sunitha Nair ,Leader People Energy Process ,Galaxy Surfactants Ltd and Mr Jay Acharya of Siemens Ltd. The discussion was moderated by Prof Riyaz Surve of ISME Navi Mumbai.
The second panel discussion was on the theme “Managing Your Career”. The panel included Dr Vijay Joshi of India Music, Mr Rituraj Sar, Head Learning & Development,Lupin Ltd and Ms Kranti Sety ,Head HR (Global) Elara Capital. The panel discussion was moderated by Prof J Bagchi Campus Head, ISME Navi Mumbai.
Both the panel discussions were highly interactive and provided a vibrant learning platform for the young managers in the making as also the awardees who have already made their way into the corporate world. This was evident from the wide array of questions posed by the audience at the end of the discussions and the practical relevance of the answers provided by the panel members.
Following the serious deliberations in the panel discussion the current batch, on a lighter note, displayed their musical talent by rendering the popular number “Give me some Sunshine, Give me Some Rain…” from the film “3 Idiots”. The audience gave the performers a standing ovation.
The final phase of the event was the Awards Ceremony where merit & achievement certificates were given away to the pass-out batch of 2011 of ISME Navi Mumbai
