ISME’s “Post Graduate Diploma in Management” (PGDM) – is an AICTE approved two-year full time program which has Major Specialization options of Marketing, Finance and Human Resources. Additional to this, the program includes, value-added courses like Entrepreneurship, Innovation Management and Current Business Update, “Six Sigma Green Belt Course Work Certification” and certificate for Business Strategy Game by Prof. Arthur A. Thompson Jr., University of Alabama, USA.
The PGDM course is designed with an objective to provide management knowledge needed for entry to mid-level executives. There is also a strong focus on skill building like communication and personality. Further, students specialize in a functional area and in some industries within the functional area so that they can align themselves to industry requirements. Industry visits complement the conceptual & theoretical foundations provided in the classroom.
Placement Centric Coursework
ISME has pioneered the concept of offering Placement Oriented Value Added Term(POVAT) that enables students to integrate their learning and be better prepared for opportunities in their corporate World. Besides major or minor in Marketing, Finance or HR, ISME students have the option to minor in IT or Operations Management. ISME provides a unique opportunity to students to get an industry minor in industries like automobile, telecom, banking, retail, IT etc.
International academic leadership
ISME has an association with London School of Economics, UK, giving students the opportunity to attend LSE’s 2-week summer program. ISME also facilitates Singapore internship for graduate and post graduate students. Students at ISME also go through the Business Strategy Game designed by a professor from the University of Alabama, USA, and play competitively with students around the world. ISME conducts India Business Study Program (IBSP) hosting students from various countries.
The Two-year full-time PGDM course-curriculum is AICTE approved.
First year consists of one week of Orientation course, three terms of ten weeks each followed by ten weeks of summer internship. Second year also consist of three terms, ten week each with Placement Oriented VAT(Value Added Term) of five weeks.
